SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP and ABAP Platform - versions SAP_BASIS 700, SAP_BASIS 701, SAP_BASIS 702, SAP_BASIS 731, SAP_BASIS 740, SAP_BASIS 750, SAP_BASIS 752, SAP_BASIS 753, SAP_BASIS 754, SAP_BASIS 755, SAP_BASIS 756, SAP_BASIS 757, SAP_BASIS 758, SAP_BASIS 793, SAP_BASIS 804, does not perform necessary authorization checks for an authenticated user, resulting in escalation of privileges. This could allow an attacker to read sensitive information which can be used in a subsequent serious attack.

A vulnerability in the privilege management functionality of all Cisco BroadWorks server types could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges to root on an affected system. This vulnerability is due to incorrect implementation of user role permissions. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the application as a user with the BWORKS or BWSUPERADMIN role and issuing crafted commands on an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute commands beyond the sphere of their intended access level, including initiating installs or running operating system commands with elevated permissions. There are workarounds that address this vulnerability.

A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco BroadWorks CommPilot Application Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface. This vulnerability exists because the web-based management interface does not properly validate user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface or access sensitive, browser-based information.

A vulnerability in Cisco BroadWorks could allow an authenticated, local attacker to elevate privileges to the root user on an affected device. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation by the operating system CLI. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing a crafted command to the affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute commands as the root user. To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker must have valid BroadWorks administrative privileges on the affected device.

An attacker can perform malicious actions over the network, extending the scope of impact, causing a limited impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability.

SAP NetWeaver AS for Java - versions ENGINEAPI 7.50, SERVERCORE 7.50, J2EE-APPS 7.50, allows an unauthenticated attacker to craft a request over the network which can result in unwarranted modifications to a system log without user interaction. There is no ability to view any information or any effect on availability.

In SAP AS NetWeaver JAVA - versions SERVERCORE 7.50, J2EE-FRMW 7.50, CORE-TOOLS 7.50, an unauthenticated attacker can attach to an open interface and make use of an open naming and directory API to instantiate an object which has methods which can be called without further authorization and authentication.  A subsequent call to one of these methods can read or change the state of existing services without any effect on availability.
