The Freemius SDK, as used by hundreds of WordPress plugin and theme developers, was vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery and Information disclosure due to missing capability checks and nonce protection on the _get_debug_log, _get_db_option, and the _set_db_option functions in versions up to, and including 2.4.2. Any WordPress plugin or theme running a version of Freemius less than 2.4.3 is vulnerable.

An attacker can leverage this to gain LPE using a specially crafted DLL placed in any PATH location accessible with write permissions to the user.

An attacker with administrator privileges can leverage this to gain code execution within a Check Point Software Technologies signed binary, where under certain circumstances may cause the client to terminate.

Check Point Endpoint Security Client for Windows, with the VPN blade, before version E80.83, starts a process without using quotes in the path. This can cause loading of a previously placed executable with a name similar to the parts of the path, instead of the intended one.
