OpenSSL TLS Server Crash (NULL pointer dereference) — CVE-2021-3449

Disclosure Date: March 25, 2021 (last updated February 22, 2025)
An OpenSSL TLS server may crash if sent a maliciously crafted renegotiation ClientHello message from a client. If a TLSv1.2 renegotiation ClientHello omits the signature_algorithms extension (where it was present in the initial ClientHello), but includes a signature_algorithms_cert extension then a NULL pointer dereference will result, leading to a crash and a denial of service attack. A server is only vulnerable if it has TLSv1.2 and renegotiation enabled (which is the default configuration). OpenSSL TLS clients are not impacted by this issue. All OpenSSL 1.1.1 versions are affected by this issue. Users of these versions should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1k. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is not impacted by this issue. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1k (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1j).

CVE-2014-6271

Disclosure Date: September 24, 2014 (last updated July 25, 2024)
GNU Bash through 4.3 processes trailing strings after function definitions in the values of environment variables, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted environment, as demonstrated by vectors involving the ForceCommand feature in OpenSSH sshd, the mod_cgi and mod_cgid modules in the Apache HTTP Server, scripts executed by unspecified DHCP clients, and other situations in which setting the environment occurs across a privilege boundary from Bash execution, aka "ShellShock." NOTE: the original fix for this issue was incorrect; CVE-2014-7169 has been assigned to cover the vulnerability that is still present after the incorrect fix.

CVE-2022-4974

Disclosure Date: October 16, 2024 (last updated October 16, 2024)
The Freemius SDK, as used by hundreds of WordPress plugin and theme developers, was vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery and Information disclosure due to missing capability checks and nonce protection on the _get_debug_log, _get_db_option, and the _set_db_option functions in versions up to, and including 2.4.2. Any WordPress plugin or theme running a version of Freemius less than 2.4.3 is vulnerable.

CVE-2023-20032

Disclosure Date: March 01, 2023 (last updated February 24, 2025)
On Feb 15, 2023, the following vulnerability in the ClamAV scanning library was disclosed: A vulnerability in the HFS+ partition file parser of ClamAV versions 1.0.0 and earlier, 0.105.1 and earlier, and 0.103.7 and earlier could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability is due to a missing buffer size check that may result in a heap buffer overflow write. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted HFS+ partition file to be scanned by ClamAV on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the ClamAV scanning process, or else crash the process, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. For a description of this vulnerability, see the ClamAV blog ["https://blog.clamav.net/"].

CVE-2022-1700

Disclosure Date: September 12, 2022 (last updated February 24, 2025)
Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference ('XXE') vulnerability in the Policy Engine of Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP), which is also leveraged by Forcepoint One Endpoint (F1E), Web Security Content Gateway, Email Security with DLP enabled, and Cloud Security Gateway prior to June 20, 2022. The XML parser in the Policy Engine was found to be improperly configured to support external entities and external DTD (Document Type Definitions), which can lead to an XXE attack. This issue affects: Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) versions prior to 8.8.2. Forcepoint One Endpoint (F1E) with Policy Engine versions prior to 8.8.2. Forcepoint Web Security Content Gateway versions prior to 8.5.5. Forcepoint Email Security with DLP enabled versions prior to 8.5.5. Forcepoint Cloud Security Gateway prior to June 20, 2022.
