CVE-2024-36401
Disclosure Date: July 01, 2024 (last updated July 04, 2024)
GeoServer is an open source server that allows users to share and edit geospatial data. Prior to versions 2.23.6, 2.24.4, and 2.25.2, multiple OGC request parameters allow Remote Code Execution (RCE) by unauthenticated users through specially crafted input against a default GeoServer installation due to unsafely evaluating property names as XPath expressions.
The GeoTools library API that GeoServer calls evaluates property/attribute names for feature types in a way that unsafely passes them to the commons-jxpath library which can execute arbitrary code when evaluating XPath expressions. This XPath evaluation is intended to be used only by complex feature types (i.e., Application Schema data stores) but is incorrectly being applied to simple feature types as well which makes this vulnerability apply to **ALL** GeoServer instances. No public PoC is provided but this vulnerability has been confirmed to be exploitable through WFS GetFeature, WFS GetPropertyValue, WMS GetMap, WMS GetFeatu…

CVE-2014-6271
Disclosure Date: September 24, 2014 (last updated July 25, 2024)
GNU Bash through 4.3 processes trailing strings after function definitions in the values of environment variables, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted environment, as demonstrated by vectors involving the ForceCommand feature in OpenSSH sshd, the mod_cgi and mod_cgid modules in the Apache HTTP Server, scripts executed by unspecified DHCP clients, and other situations in which setting the environment occurs across a privilege boundary from Bash execution, aka "ShellShock." NOTE: the original fix for this issue was incorrect; CVE-2014-7169 has been assigned to cover the vulnerability that is still present after the incorrect fix.

CVE-2023-51444
Disclosure Date: March 20, 2024 (last updated December 19, 2024)
GeoServer is an open source software server written in Java that allows users to share and edit geospatial data. An arbitrary file upload vulnerability exists in versions prior to 2.23.4 and 2.24.1 that enables an authenticated administrator with permissions to modify coverage stores through the REST Coverage Store API to upload arbitrary file contents to arbitrary file locations which can lead to remote code execution. Coverage stores that are configured using relative paths use a GeoServer Resource implementation that has validation to prevent path traversal but coverage stores that are configured using absolute paths use a different Resource implementation that does not prevent path traversal. This vulnerability can lead to executing arbitrary code. An administrator with limited privileges could also potentially exploit this to overwrite GeoServer security files and obtain full administrator privileges. Versions 2.23.4 and 2.24.1 contain a fix for this issue.

CVE-2023-24510

CVE-2023-24545
Disclosure Date: April 11, 2023 (last updated October 08, 2023)
On affected platforms running Arista CloudEOS an issue in the Software Forwarding Engine (Sfe) can lead to a potential denial of service attack by sending malformed packets to the switch. This causes a leak of packet buffers and if enough malformed packets are received, the switch may eventually stop forwarding traffic.

CVE-2024-7095
Disclosure Date: January 10, 2025 (last updated January 11, 2025)
On affected platforms running Arista EOS with SNMP configured, if “snmp-server transmit max-size” is configured, under some circumstances a specially crafted packet can cause the snmpd process to leak memory. This may result in the snmpd process being terminated (causing SNMP requests to time out until snmpd is restarted) and memory pressure for other processes on the switch. Increased memory pressure can cause processes other than snmpd to be at risk for unexpected termination as well.

CVE-2024-5872
Disclosure Date: January 10, 2025 (last updated January 11, 2025)
On affected platforms running Arista EOS, a specially crafted packet with incorrect VLAN tag might be copied to CPU, which may cause incorrect control plane behavior related to the packet, such as route flaps, multicast routes learnt, etc.

CVE-2024-6437
Disclosure Date: January 10, 2025 (last updated January 11, 2025)
On affected platforms running Arista EOS with one of the following features configured to redirect IP traffic to a next hop: policy-based routing (PBR), BGP Flowspec, or interface traffic policy -- certain IP traffic such as IPv4 packets with IP options may bypass the feature's set nexthop action and be slow-path forwarded (FIB routed) by the kernel as the packets are trapped to the CPU instead of following the redirect action's destination.

CVE-2025-22152
Disclosure Date: January 10, 2025 (last updated January 11, 2025)
Atheos is a self-hosted browser-based cloud IDE. Prior to v600, the $path and $target parameters are not properly validated across multiple components, allowing an attacker to read, modify, or execute arbitrary files on the server. These vulnerabilities can be exploited through various attack vectors present in multiple PHP files. This vulnerability is fixed in v600.
