CVE-2024-12921

Disclosure Date: January 30, 2025 (last updated January 30, 2025)
The EthereumICO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's ethereum-ico shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

CVE-2022-4974

Disclosure Date: October 16, 2024 (last updated October 16, 2024)
The Freemius SDK, as used by hundreds of WordPress plugin and theme developers, was vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery and Information disclosure due to missing capability checks and nonce protection on the _get_debug_log, _get_db_option, and the _set_db_option functions in versions up to, and including 2.4.2. Any WordPress plugin or theme running a version of Freemius less than 2.4.3 is vulnerable.

CVE-2024-32972

Disclosure Date: May 06, 2024 (last updated May 07, 2024)
go-ethereum (geth) is a golang execution layer implementation of the Ethereum protocol. Prior to 1.13.15, a vulnerable node can be made to consume very large amounts of memory when handling specially crafted p2p messages sent from an attacker node. The fix has been included in geth version `1.13.15` and onwards.

CVE-2023-42319

Disclosure Date: October 18, 2023 (last updated October 26, 2023)
Geth (aka go-ethereum) through 1.13.4, when --http --graphql is used, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and daemon hang) via a crafted GraphQL query. NOTE: the vendor's position is that the "graphql endpoint [is not] designed to withstand attacks by hostile clients, nor handle huge amounts of clients/traffic.

CVE-2023-40591

Disclosure Date: September 06, 2023 (last updated October 08, 2023)
go-ethereum (geth) is a golang execution layer implementation of the Ethereum protocol. A vulnerable node, can be made to consume unbounded amounts of memory when handling specially crafted p2p messages sent from an attacker node. The fix is included in geth version `1.12.1-stable`, i.e, `1.12.2-unstable` and onwards. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

CVE-2023-38698

Disclosure Date: August 04, 2023 (last updated October 08, 2023)
Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a distributed, open, and extensible naming system based on the Ethereum blockchain. According to the documentation, controllers are allowed to register new domains and extend the expiry of existing domains, but they cannot change the ownership or reduce the expiration time of existing domains. However, a preliminary analysis suggests that an attacker-controlled controller may be able to reduce the expiration time of existing domains due to an integer overflow in the renew function. The vulnerability resides `@ensdomains/ens-contracts` prior to version 0.0.22. If successfully exploited, this vulnerability would enable attackers to force the expiration of any ENS record, ultimately allowing them to claim the affected domains for themselves. Currently, it would require a malicious DAO to exploit it. Nevertheless, any vulnerability present in the controllers could potentially render this issue exploitable in the future. An additional concern is the possibil…

CVE-2022-37450

Disclosure Date: August 05, 2022 (last updated October 08, 2023)
Go Ethereum (aka geth) through 1.10.21 allows attackers to increase rewards by mining blocks in certain situations, and using a manipulation of time-difference values to achieve replacement of main-chain blocks, aka Riskless Uncle Making (RUM), as exploited in the wild in 2020 through 2022.

CVE-2022-29177

Disclosure Date: May 20, 2022 (last updated February 23, 2025)
Go Ethereum is the official Golang implementation of the Ethereum protocol. Prior to version 1.10.17, a vulnerable node, if configured to use high verbosity logging, can be made to crash when handling specially crafted p2p messages sent from an attacker node. Version 1.10.17 contains a patch that addresses the problem. As a workaround, setting loglevel to default level (`INFO`) makes the node not vulnerable to this attack.

CVE-2021-42219

Disclosure Date: March 17, 2022 (last updated October 07, 2023)
Go-Ethereum v1.10.9 was discovered to contain an issue which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (DoS) via sending an excessive amount of messages to a node. This is caused by missing memory in the component /ethash/algorithm.go.
