CVE-2023-44487

Disclosure Date: October 10, 2023 (last updated June 28, 2024)
The HTTP/2 protocol allows a denial of service (server resource consumption) because request cancellation can reset many streams quickly, as exploited in the wild in August through October 2023.

CVE-2024-11831

Disclosure Date: February 10, 2025 (last updated February 13, 2025)
A flaw was found in npm-serialize-javascript. The vulnerability occurs because the serialize-javascript module does not properly sanitize certain inputs, such as regex or other JavaScript object types, allowing an attacker to inject malicious code. This code could be executed when deserialized by a web browser, causing Cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This issue is critical in environments where serialized data is sent to web clients, potentially compromising the security of the website or web application using this package.

CVE-2024-53979

Disclosure Date: November 29, 2024 (last updated December 21, 2024)
ibm.ibm_zhmc is an Ansible collection for the IBM Z HMC. The Ansible collection "ibm.ibm_zhmc" writes password-like properties in clear text into its log file and into the output returned by some of its Ansible module in the following cases: 1. The 'boot_ftp_password' and 'ssc_master_pw' properties are passed as input to the zhmc_partition Ansible module. 2. The 'ssc_master_pw' and 'zaware_master_pw' properties are passed as input to the zhmc_lpar Ansible module. 3. The 'password' property is passed as input to the zhmc_user Ansible module (just in log file, not in module output). 4. The 'bind_password' property is passed as input to the zhmc_ldap_server_definition Ansible module. These properties appear in the module output only when they were specified in the module input and when creating or updating the corresponding resources. They do not appear in the output when retrieving facts for the corresponding resources. These properties appear in the log file only when the "log_file" mo…

CVE-2024-11483

Disclosure Date: November 25, 2024 (last updated December 18, 2024)
A vulnerability was found in the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This flaw allows attackers to escalate privileges by improperly leveraging read-scoped OAuth2 tokens to gain write access. This issue affects API endpoints that rely on ansible_base.oauth2_provider for OAuth2 authentication. While the impact is limited to actions within the user’s assigned permissions, it undermines scoped access controls, potentially allowing unintended modifications in the application and consuming services.

CVE-2024-11079

Disclosure Date: November 12, 2024 (last updated December 18, 2024)
A flaw was found in Ansible-Core. This vulnerability allows attackers to bypass unsafe content protections using the hostvars object to reference and execute templated content. This issue can lead to arbitrary code execution if remote data or module outputs are improperly templated within playbooks.

CVE-2024-9902

Disclosure Date: November 06, 2024 (last updated December 21, 2024)
A flaw was found in Ansible. The ansible-core `user` module can allow an unprivileged user to silently create or replace the contents of any file on any system path and take ownership of it when a privileged user executes the `user` module against the unprivileged user's home directory. If the unprivileged user has traversal permissions on the directory containing the exploited target file, they retain full control over the contents of the file as its owner.

CVE-2024-10033

Disclosure Date: October 16, 2024 (last updated October 31, 2024)
A vulnerability was found in aap-gateway. A Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the gateway component. This flaw allows a malicious user to perform actions that impact users by using the "?next=" in a URL, which can lead to redirecting, injecting malicious script, stealing sessions and data.

CVE-2024-9979

Disclosure Date: October 15, 2024 (last updated January 06, 2025)
A flaw was found in PyO3. This vulnerability causes a use-after-free issue, potentially leading to memory corruption or crashes via unsound borrowing from weak Python references.

CVE-2024-9620

Disclosure Date: October 08, 2024 (last updated January 06, 2025)
A flaw was found in Event-Driven Automation (EDA) in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), which lacks encryption of sensitive information. An attacker with network access could exploit this vulnerability by sniffing the plaintext data transmitted between the EDA and AAP. An attacker with system access could exploit this vulnerability by reading the plaintext data stored in EDA and AAP databases.

CVE-2024-9355

Disclosure Date: October 01, 2024 (last updated January 05, 2025)
A vulnerability was found in Golang FIPS OpenSSL. This flaw allows a malicious user to randomly cause an uninitialized buffer length variable with a zeroed buffer to be returned in FIPS mode. It may also be possible to force a false positive match between non-equal hashes when comparing a trusted computed hmac sum to an untrusted input sum if an attacker can send a zeroed buffer in place of a pre-computed sum.  It is also possible to force a derived key to be all zeros instead of an unpredictable value.  This may have follow-on implications for the Go TLS stack.
